Request ids
Every response is identified, so you and support can find the same request.
Every response has an X-Request-Id header (and errors a requestId field). Include it when you contact support. You can send your own X-Request-Id (8–64 characters of A-Z a-z 0-9 _ -) to correlate with your logs.
curl https://vapi.vidyst.com/public/v1/auth/verify \
-H "Authorization: Bearer vk_live_…" \
-H "X-Request-Id: sync-2026-11-03-0042"An id you send comes back in the response and is what appears in our logs for that request. Anything outside the allowed characters or length is ignored, and Vidyst generates a time-ordered id instead.
Log the request id alongside your own records, at least for failures. It's the fastest way to have a specific request looked up.
